The cylinder assembly is part of the crane mounted on the Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT) M984 Tow Truck. The crane is a rotating telescoping-boom crane that is used to lift and lower materials and move them horizontally. The cylinder assembly is responsible for raising up and down the upper arm of the crane boom.
